I'm 15 years old Asian teenager.
I want to know that how to know that skin care product like cleanser, scrub or else is suitable for skin.
Can someone tell me if that skin care product is not suitable for the skin, what will happen.
Does St.Ives Apricot Scrub suitable for teenagers?
omg! i have that exact same problem... i don't really know how you can tell if something is suitable for ur skin but i know St.Ives Apricot Scrub does NOT work for me. I had been using it off and on for about 10 months and i realized my pimples just wouldn't clear away, especially after i used it. so... i stopped using it for a week and all my pimples went down to tiny size and u can hardly see them anymore. y don't u try stopping it for a week and if it gets better, its not for you.

Which skin care product is the best such as Neutrogena, Biore, or Pro Activ. I was also wondering if The Wave really worked because I've heard good and bad things about it.
Neutrogena ALL thee way!!! I have the Wave, it works AMAZINGLY. My skin is SOOOO soft after. I definitely recommend it because it is only 12 dollars! After though, make sure you use a toner to remove all the dirt and make-up after washing your face, you'd be amazed about how much is still on after washing your face. Finally, use a moisturizer with an SPF of 15. This will protect your skin from the very harmful sun and keep it feeling soft all day. Do these procedures twice a day and you'll skin will be awesome. Make sure you exfoliate your skin with an exfoliater, do not use Apricot Scrub because it contains shells which wear away your skin layers. Use something with gentle beads, make sure to exfoliate because our skin sheds every 7 days and if you don't clean it away, it will clog your pores.

My skin seems to be acting up a little bit due to the weather. I have fairly normal skin, not excessively oily or dry. What's the best product to keep away blemishes? I wash my face everyday in the shower with Wet and Wild skin care, but that's obviously not working. Thanks!
if you want something form a drugstore buy clean and clear continuous control cleanser with the clean and clear advantage oil-free moisturizer. another thing you can do is go with all natural cleansers. try zyporex, its all natural and just for acne. it gives you a really clean feeling. natural can be the best thing because it doesnt contain harsh chemicals that can irritate your face rather than help.

Looking for a new skin care range for dry sensitive skin, in the mid price range. I need a cleanser, toner and moistouriser. What could you reccommend? Please dont say clinique as i dont suit their skin care, and olay brings me out in a rash. Can you reccommend anything other than that? Cheers xxx
try the nivia range. i have sensitive skin and i use the nivia for men range. also if your hands are drying out and sore. remember to wear rubber gloves when doing the washing up or any cleaning when you are using chemicals/products of some sort.

Fitness skincare company Workout Zone is out of the blocks and running, but not without a stumbling start.
Wellington doctor Rosy Fenwicke started the company four years ago, to create a range of sweat-friendly skin products that worked while someone was working on their fitness.
But as a keen exerciser, her personal motivation for starting Workout Zone is more straightforward.
"I just didn't want to get old. I saw athletes with windburn, sun damage – some women don't exercise for that very reason."
With her medical background and a few dermatologist mates, she was well placed to come up with a product to do exactly what she wanted.
But the first version bombed. "I didn't have the right message, it was too presbyterian, it was too doctorly, not enough fun," she admits.
Sales are now on track.
Testing on herself first – "if I have any problems, we go back to the drawing board" – the product was given a going over by 26 gym instructors and 29 runners and cyclists.
The feedback outstripped opinions of other skincare products aimed at the exercise zone.
More marketing is not the answer. "You have to be honest about it. It has to be something different and something that works. Otherwise what's the point?"
Dr Fenwicke is pushing ahead with aims to get a distributor in New Zealand by the end of the year and one in Australia next year.

The skin care industry has convinced the public that their products will bring you a bright complexion, reduce wrinkles and reduce discoloration. However, the cosmetics industry is not regulated and provided that list the ingredients on the bottle, as required by the FDA they can make all the claims they like. Furthermore, many skin care companies use the term "natural" when in fact, many products contain less than 1% of a natural ingredient such as aloe vera, or other essential oils.
In reality many cosmetics and baby products contain hazardous ingredients that are harmful to their health or their babies. The UN Environment Program estimates that about 70,000 chemicals are in common use worldwide, with 1000 new chemicals being introduced every year. Of all the chemicals used in cosmetics, the National Institute of Health and Safety at Work has reported that nearly 900 are toxic - although other groups attack that figure as too conservative.
Below are some guidelines to select a skin care product.
Talc is commonly used for dry, deodorize and refresh your skin. It is a mineral composed of magnesium silicate hydrate. Research has suggested that women who use talcum powder for personal hygiene between their legs are more likely to have cancer of the ovary. It is believed that the talc can travel up inside the vagina, the cervix through the uterus, to the ovaries, causing irritation and inflammation, resulting in cancerous changes. Additionally, inhalation of talc in May irritate the respiratory system.
Triclosan is an antimicrobial chemical found in hand washes, toothpastes and household products, which can kill "friendly bacteria" that aid in digestion and protect the body from more serious infection. There is no reason for concern that the excess of anti-bacterial products inhibits the normal process of the immune system to ward off germs.
