I have dark acne blemishes all around my face and I would like them to fade away, not just cover up. What is something good to use that works and how long does it usually take?

Your blemishes aka Hyperpigmentation can be treated with products containing hyrdoquinone (2 to 6%) (which inhibits the production of skin pigment) and will take from 3 months to a year, perhaps even more to fade the blemishes away completely.

The products are usually known as bleaching, fading, or skin lightening creams and they can be bought over the counter or with a prescription, depends on the strength.

You would have to apply it to the spots at least once a day, and always apply a strong SPF sunscreen during the day to ensure that the spots don't get darker. Avoid applying the fading cream to the other skin because you don't want those parts to get lighter.

Of course you have to make sure to keep using it everyday until the scars are gone or otherwise they will just come back, so patience pays a lot. But as according to the directions, if you don't see any results in 3 to 4 months, discontinue. I have been using it on scars for 2 months and I see results.

Some brands are Esoterica and Porcelana (both 2% hydroquinone), they can be found in drug stores. The price range is from 5-12 dollars. I get mine from Wal-mart, so much cheaper. There are stronger products like Dermesse which is 4 percent and has a better formula but can cost you up to 60 bucks and can be found at skin laser centers. And then prescription creams are even more expensive, about $100, but they contain other ingredients like Retin A to help in the process, so it's probably worth it.

Another solution is microdermabarasion + chemical peel. Very expensive, may take up to six treatments (6 months), you have to make sure you go to a qualified profession. Perhaps your dermatalogy office provides these services, you might want to check.

i have blemishes in the middle of my forehead and i do not know how to get rid of it . i`ve had it for two weeks now and i`ve used vanishing acne cream from clearasil ultra , but it has only made it darker . i do not want to buy proactive , and according to my research , lemon juice and tea bags will help get rid of them . is that true ? if so , what kind of tea bags ? and is there any other way to get rid of blemishes in less than FIVE days ? because i have to attend a wedding this saturday . any help will be very much appreciated !!!!!!!!

yes. go a few days without makeup. use an oil free acne wash, in the morning, and at night. make sure your hair is washed every day and not touching your face. The oil from your hair can clog pores. After you wash your face with warm water, and an acne face wash[ i recommend clean and clear oil free foaming facial cleanser about $5.45 at our local grocery store, Target, or CVS pharmacy], . Then put on something with benzoyle peroxide[ i recommend clean and clear persa-gel maximum strength about $4.99 at your local grocery store, target, CVS pharmacy]. Look at the label it should say 10% benzoyle peroxide. after that try a oil free moisturizer.
diet is important, but eating a chocolate bar doesnt give you acne. just make sure your eating healthy, and stay out of the sun. use an oil free sunblock. basically, stay away from oil!
i Will give you step by step instructions.
before bed-
1- open pores by splashing face with warm water
2- wash face with "clean and clear oil free foaming facial cleanser"
3- rinse with hot water.
4- dry with towel.
5- apply clean and clear maximum strength persa-gel
6- let dry
7- rinse face with ice water to lock pores closed, and clean.
8- apply oil free moisturizer[ i recommend Neutrogena Moisture Oil Free Formula, Sensitive Skin its about $10.00]

all together it will cost bout $20.00, but its worth it for clear healthy skin right?
might i suggest bare minerals? you dont have to worry about forgetting to take it off!


repeat in the morning.
and within a few days enjoy your clean clear face!!! bye breakouts!

Acne blemishes or scars caused by black heads. Is there any good no doubt will work store products?

Try using some product that like open up your pours on your face. Lotion and stuff is good.

I went on to olayforyou.com to pick out a facial cleaner best for me. However it only lets you choose one skin problem. Such as blemishes, discloration, acne, and wrinkles. I have acne, blemishes, and some discloration. And my skin is very sensitive. If I put the wrong thing on my face it will turn as red as a fire truck, and dry out completely.

So what chemical do most facial cleansers have that treats all three problems.

Benzine peroxide, that is what is in proactive, and the clinique acne solution (what I use). Just watch out for your towels and sheets because they will get bleached out... It is peroxide!

i have a lil bit of acne but more blemishes is there anything i can do like any home remedies i can do?
everytime i take a shower a couple time a week i use the neutrogena body scrub is that enough?
if i scrub lemons on my back will that work
what can i do?
i have it on my upper back
what can i do about the blemishes?
will they stay there forever should i put any Neutrogena acne lotion for acne blemishes?

firstly, your suppose to shower everyday.so it can get rid of all your DIRT and bacteria
secondly, use soaps with exfoliaters

my face broke out really bad over the summer and i just bought the new clinique acne treatment and it works great! way better than proactive did for me! but it is just as pricey! anyways my face is clearing up a lot, but i still have red acne scars/ blemishes and i want to get rid of them! what is a good way to do so? i don't want them to be there forever! thanks!

palmers cocoa butter cream works good for scars
i had acne scars, and that what i used.
i get the little tub because its thicker than the stuff in the bottle.
but yeah, put that on over your scars every night and every morning and they'll be less noticable/almost gone within a few weeks.
