I don't have bad acne, I just have frequent breakouts because I play lots of sports. I need to know the best acne facial cleanser that works, but not proactiv because I can't afford it. What other facial cleansers work well and get rid of acne?

It really depends on your skin type, but you need something that unclogs your pores w/ benzoyl peroxide as a main ingredient. Proactive is good but the ONLY thing that works for me, since i play sports alot too, is Clean & Clear Deep Clean. it is in a blue and white and green bottle and it really works. it showed a MAJOR difference in 2 days!!! not joking. it sounds like a commercial lol but it really works! it doesnt take long touse it. every mornin and night but it is fine if you do it once a day. My breakouts aren't NEARLY as frequent and when i do have one, there isnt as many pimples. ok hope i helped! you should really try it since you play sports!

Every facial wash i use starts to work at first then tends to start breaking my face out. I have used clearisil and clean and clear and stuff like that it doesnt work. I dont ave bad acne but it would be nice if it didnt randomly break out all the time. Any suggestions on what works well?

Maybe when you use the facial wash, try not to use as much. Over exfoliating can cause your skin to become dry or oily, which can cause a break-out. Maybe instead of using it everyday, use it every other day while in the days inbetween, use a milder face wash that is just for cleansing, not to help acne. Origins in the mall has a very mild cleanser called Checks and Balances which is very good for that inbetween use as it just cleans the dirt off from the day and not killing your skin with the acne washes like the clean and clear and the clearisil and other stuff.

Just had one today and it looked red with bumps, more acne looking than before the facial. How long will this last? The estheician told me to put ice on it twice a day to prevent from more breakout but after the extraction it already looked like I got more from the redness, how to fix this, how long do I have to wait?

The area is inflamed from the cleansing. If you are fair skinned it could last a few days. It is best that you stay out of the direct sun. Any moisturizers will only inflame the area and clog open pores. Ice is great , drink lots of water and cranberry juice. Avoid acidic drinks such as organge or tomato juice
