I have oily skin, acne prone skin... not a teenager in late 20's. Large pores... I guess symptom of oily, acne prone skin. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance!
maybelline dream matte mousse is THE best foundation for your oily skin type. it has a matte finish so balances out the appearance of grease on your skin and gives really good coverage. i use it and it's so good. it's only 7 pounds or 14 dollars and a pot lasts quite a while. also, carry around blotting papers with you in your handbag, as these always come in handy, as does loose powder.
hope i helped--x

I have very oily skin with acne. I need a great foundion AND concealer from either mac or clinique. I'll be going there tomorrow and need some ideas to suggest to the lady. And my skin tone is pretty fair. I wear a nuetral to fair in the powder I use now. Please help everyone, thanks!
Mac is very good. I prefer MAC.
Apply your concealer using a brush. You might want to ask for a brush to apply it with aswelll if you dont have one.
Also Mac have soooo many shades they are more likely to get a close match.
I use their little pots of concealer in NC20 and NC30. You can get the concealer in a pot or in a stick. They also have SPF in too.
Happy shopping x

I have oily skin and acne. However, I heard that face washes that are "meant" for acne are actually too harsh on the skin. What gentle face wash do you guys recommend? & face lotion?
Cetaphil gentle cleanser, Purpose liquid cleanser or Purpose Bar, Liquid Neutrogena, Aqua Glycolic cleanser are some good choices.

I'm currently on Proactiv and have yet to see results that I'm happy with. I also have oily skin mostly in the T-zone, and sometimes on my cheeks and chin. Is there a way to clear up my skin and make my skin appear less oily?
I'm looking for a daily and nightly skincare regimen that will be okay for my sensitive skin. Also, naming specific products would be awesome. Thanks :)

Is it a must for people with oily skin and acne to use moisturizers even if it is oil free? or is a don't (using a moisturizer) since you already have a oily skin and already have acne?
hi.
the cause of acne is not only oily skin and moisturizers, but also over activity of glands ,familian history, hormonel and dirt.
so avoid any application on skin ,gell in head ,and oily food cheez wash your face regularly with plenty of water or oil free face wash ,take green vegetables

Skin Cream Secrets Revealed FOXNews
If asked to describe how skin cream feels, you might use words like "smooth," "thick," or "greasy."
But for Ohio State University mechanical engineering professor Bharat Bhushan, these words aren't good enough. Using a special instrument, he has gleaned new understanding of how these creams interact with skin on the nanoscale, bringing a more quantitative measure to the smooth sensation.
Skin creams are mixtures of oil and water, and they basically soften the skin by returning moisture to it, and holding moisture in. But the way the cream feels really comes down to how much friction it creates as you apply it to your body. Factors such as the cream's thickness and how fast you rub it in both affect friction, Bhushan and colleagues found.
How It Feels
Skin creams contain humectants and emollients that keep your skin moist. Humectants such as glycerin remove water from the air and lock it in your skin, while emollients such as mineral oil fill the gaps between skin cells, thus smoothing it out, according to the Mayo Clinic.
Whether or not the cream feels greasy comes down to the properties of the emollients. These substances can be oil-based, consisting of mostly oil with a small amount of water dissolved in it, or water-based, which are almost all water. Creams with more oil will leave behind more residue on the skin and thus feel greasy, while water-based creams won't leave much residue and feel lighter, the Mayo Clinic says.

Having Oily Skin? Consider Skin Care Treatment
by James
There are many different types of skins in the world and everyone has a distinct type. Some people have dry skin that needs to be moisturized regularly as dry skin lacks the required amount of moisture. If not treated properly dry skin may start flaking and chipping.
Some lucky people have normal skin which means skin that has just the right amount of moisture. People with this kind of skin dont need to take any special care and basic cleaning and moisturizing is enough for them.
The third type is oily skin is that probably the most difficult one to manage and take care of. Oily skin can be defined as the skin type that has excess of oil on its surfaces. Such type of skins looks excessively moist and shiny.
Oil skin type is caused by the excess of dihydrotestosterone hormone the body. This hormone is responsible for regulating the sebaceous glands which control the amount of moisture in the skin. A malfunction in dihydroterstosterone hormone over stimulates the sebaceous glands causes an excess amount of moisture in the skin.
This causes many problems like acne, pimples, black-heads etc. on the skin. In order to have a good skin, it is very important to keep the tiny pores on our skin open and clean. But the excess moisture blocks these pores.
This becomes the main cause of all the problems with oily skin. Moreover, oily skin also attracts a lot of dirt that not only makes the face look tired and unclean but can also cause further skin problems. This is why, it is very important to treat an excessively oily skin properly. One look in market today and you will find hundreds of oily skin care treatments in the market which promise oil-free skin. There are hundreds of cosmetic products, mattifying gels, herbal products, medications etc promising beautiful skin.
But while using such products, consult a dermatologist as such products may sometimes contain harmful chemicals. Oily skin type is inherently very sensitive and may react badly to harsh chemicals. Therefore, consulting a dermatologist before trying on a treatment is very important.
