3 times a week, i steam my face with boiling water. Just fill a big bowl with boiling water, then place your head over the bowl for 10 minutes. Put a towel over yourself and the bowl so that no heat can escape, and no cold air get get to you. Also every night and day i use the Clearasil pads on my face.
Both these things produce great results.
- hope i helped :) xx

How long does teenage acne last?
I have a really clear skin since I was 13. Then spots started to appear when I was in 9th grade and started to get worse. I still have them until now but not as bad as before. (I'm a junior).
My parents didn't have acne during their adolescence, so did my aunts and uncles. So I'm wondering why I have them. Its so UGLY. And leaves red marks on my face.
I have had acne since I was about 10. I will be 22 in October and i am still battling acne. I have used all kinds of stuff including proactive. Tomorrow will be one week that i have been using differin. I am not seeing results but it takes time. I know how you feel about it though. My aunt also has acne and i know now she is almost 30 so it depends on the person.

good moisturizer for teenage acne prone skin?
Hey! I recently started using the Neutrogena Wave and found that my skin gets very dry soon afterwards. My friends advised me to get a moisturizer but the thing is, I don't know which one to get .. My skin is very acne prone on the forehead but no where else on my face. What moisturizer (found in drugstores; ie. Wal-Mart, Target ..) will work best on my skin type? Oily and acne prone on the forehead and sensitive on cheeks.
Should people with oily acne skin use moisturizer?
This is what I do to take care of my face, and I find that I don't need a moisturizer at all. Moisturizers are often oily and can make break outs worse!!
Try cleaning your face with plain old hydrogen peroxide and a clean cotton ball. I tried the expensive acne cures and they didn't work for me at all. I tried some hydrogen peroxide one day and have been using it ever since - my face looks so much better and brighter. Plus it's like 50 cents a bottle, you can't beat that!!
In the shower I wash my face with a medicated apricot scrub - Wal-mart sells a great one (Equate brand) for like $3. It helps to clear up the acne and it makes your face so soft (it is an exfoliator)!! Between the peroxide and the acne scrub, my skin has drastically cleared up. And like I said, I've tried the more expensive regimines - ProActive, Murad, AcneFree, etc.

What is the best way to get rid of teenage acne? How do some people have none at all? How do they do it?
Are there any special soaps or products? What works?
Try using Listerine on a cotton ball then cover with band-aid, before bed. Colgate works to take a few nights of going to bed with it on face but clears up soon.

Does anyone have any recommendations to help my teenage acne problems?
I've tried Proactiv, Acnefree, and Phisoderm, but when I was finished testing them all, my skin was still oily and full of blemishes.
My friend uses these face cleanser pads, but she doesn't have acne, do they work?
I'm also an athlete. Does sweat effect my acne too?
Finding the right product is the key. I had to try several before I found one that really helped. Clinque was that for me. Keihls as well. Both worked great. You have to try different ones and be consistent with your cleaning. It will get better! I promise!
Clinque never left me oily. In fact it was very drying. I had to use a moisturizer with it. Now that my acne is under control I prefer Keihls because it less harsh. Keep trying. Go to Clinque and talk to them. They can give you a lot of advice. I know too it harder for girls because yall wear makeup. You might what to look at the brand of makeup you are using as well.
Teenage cosmetic surgery is on the rise and it's not pretty Patriot-News
Teenage cosmetic surgery is on the rise and it's not pretty By Patriot-News Op-Ed November 28, 2009, 9:14AM
It seems that Americans live in an image-obsessed society where we often are judged solely on the way we look. In fact, the number of people having cosmetic plastic surgery has tripled since 1992, according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
Breast augmentation has increased 53 percent and liposuction 31 percent. Today, plastic surgery is not just for the rich and famous; increasingly it is seen as a common intervention to basically normal bodies.
What is most alarming is that the average age of the patients continues to drop. The ASPS reports the average age of patients has dropped from 34 to 17. In 2008, 219,000 cosmetic procedures were performed on patients 13 to 19 years of age, and almost 39,000 were surgical procedures such as nose reshaping, breast lifts, breast augmentation, liposuction and tummy tucks.
The growing trend of teenagers turning to cosmetic surgery to change their looks reflects the weight that our society places on a person’s outer beauty. Although some plastic surgeries performed on teens are warranted, many are not. I have even seen parents paying for cosmetic surgeries for their children as holiday gifts.
For many, the teen years are among the most difficult. Teens are plagued by self-esteem issues and they lack confidence in their physical appearance. Peers often are quick to judge others by this as well.
