have you heard or exposed acne treatment or murad whats the top acne treatment that is not proactive. proactive didnt work for me!
I was going to recommend Murad...but another DEFINITE winner is Ilona Skincare. Ilona has a portion of their skincare line dedicated to fighting acne. I've seen it work miracles on many people. There are only a few products you'll need in the beginning... 1. In the Clear Day solution, 2. In the Clear Night solution, and 3. In the Clear Mask (which you can use as a spot treatment). Once you get your skin under control, you'll want to start exfoliating about once or twice a week, then following with the Mask. For the exfoliation, I would recommend using 4. Ilona's Soft Polishing Creme, because it is so gentle (no harsh beads that will spread bacteria and tear up your pores). Go to their website: www.ilona.com....they'll make sure you're taken care of. Look nowhere else!!

Have you tried any of them ? do you belive them ? which is the best ?
I doubt that they work. Beware of using any products for acne unless they have been prescribed or recommended by your doctor. People make all kinds of suggestions about the best thing to do to cure acne. Some cures I’ve heard include putting oatmeal, honey, lemon juice, tea tree oil, cucumber, vinegar, milk of magnesia or toothpaste on your face. Practically every cosmetics company and company that makes personal care products makes something that is a “sure cure” for acne. If we think about this, and use some common sense, we have to come to the conclusion that there is no quick or easy cure for acne, because if there was it would be well known and doctors would be telling everyone about it.
Numerous companies make a lot of money persuading people to buy products that at worst will make the acne worse, and at best may help some people a little. Often fewer products are better. People often make their acne much worse by using too many products. There really is no quick fix for acne. Don’t spend a lot of money on products just because their ads say that they will cure acne. Your doctor is the best person to ask for help, and he or she may recommend some prescription medication or non-prescription treatment that may be suitable for you..
There are some very simple and basic things you can do that cost nothing. Keep your face or any other area affected by acne very clean. Any mild antibacterial soap will help with that. Rinse the area well to remove all soap residue. Drink plenty of water – it really does help to clear up acne. Eat a nutritious diet and get enough sleep. A healthy life style will make a difference. Try to reduce the stress in your life – stress contributes to acne, so also probably the more you worry about the acne and focus on it, the worse it will be.
Probably the most useful and effective things you can do are to apply hot compresses to pustules and cysts and never to pick or squeeze pimples. Playing with or popping pimples, no matter how careful and clean you are, nearly always makes bumps stay redder and bumpier longer.

I have cystic acne, and my doctor told me that I should definitely try Accutane. The only issue is that my insurance doesn't cover it and it would cost over $1000 a month. I've been using the Murad acne process and that's been working well for me, but that doesn't work for the cystic acne under the skin, only the blemishes on the top layer. Are there any other medications or products that have worked on cystic acne that you know of? Thank you times ten in advance.
I'm already using a topical treatment called Murad. It's basically Proactive x10 so that really won't help me. That doesn't take care of acne under the skin, only on top.
For bad acne like this that isn't topical, just about everything other than accutane is useless. Accutane guarantees results and there really arn't any other choices on the market right now for severe acne. It's also fustrating when people do not realize that topical treatments do not work for the kind of acne we have. They, at the best of times, merely keep the acne from getting worse if they do even that. There is nothing special in proactive. You can find the same ingredients in store brand soaps that cost 10 times less.
Do know that often the treatment is not permanent, though. I've been on it three times, and will probably opt for a lifetime treatment taking one pill a week. It works very well for me, but the effects are not permanent. The only saving grace here is I get months of accutane for free (I live in Canada).
I sincerely hope that accutane works for you the first time and you can slay this awful disease.

I have struggled with back acne for a long time, and it is embarrassing to wear swimsuits and tank tops. I have heard of Murad acne spray, but I'm not sure if it works. What treatments/washes/sprays are the most effective?
Most acne that occurs from your chin and downward is mostly due to an imbalance of hormones and poor diet. Most topical creams and cleansers will not work. Acne starts from within so you have to treat from the inside. Drink *lots* of water (with fresh lemon wedges...helps cleanse the liver) do not eat a lot of refine sugars and dairy...if you like your dairy...switch to organic...no hormones added in the dairy...which regular dairy has a lot of estrogen [same with chicken] ) So look for more into the organic foods....all those additives, pesticides and chemicals that you ingest does havoc on your skin. And when you cleanse your skin...use a mild soap...not any of those harsh acne fighting soaps...you are just irritating the skin with all of those chemicals as well. Sensitive skin needs a mild cleanser. Also make sure your bed sheets and pillow cases are changed on a regular basis as well. These are just a few pointers I have...don't have time to go through everything...it is a long battle but you will get there...good luck...I know what you are going through :(

Turning Out The Lights: Transoma Medical, Onetime IPO Hopeful Wall Street Journal
The St. Paul, Minn., company couldn’t attract new investors or acquirers even though its newest cardiac monitor, which received 510(k) clearance in February, had won some fans among physicians who treat heart-rhythm conditions. A division spun out early this year, Data Sciences International Inc., remains in business.
Transoma joins a growing list of venture-backed health-care companies to close recently. Another includes interactive stationary-bicycle company Expresso Fitness Corp., which filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy earlier this month and has sold its assets after raising capital from Sierra Ventures, Enterprise Partners, and others.
Canaan Partners and Polaris Venture Partners were Transoma’s principal backers. Representatives from both were unavailable for comment.
Transoma formed as a subsidiary of Data Sciences, a provider of wireless implants used in animal research. Following a parent-subsidiary merger, the combined company – which changed its name to Transoma Medical – filed to go public in October 2007.
Transoma pulled its registration in February 2008, citing market conditions, and later concluded that the steady, animal-research group wasn’t compatible with the riskier human-health division, said Greg Bohlen, managing director of Wasatch Cross Creek Capital, who said his firm invested in Data Sciences, though it owns some Transoma stock as a result of the spinout.
Data Sciences, also of St. Paul, is profitable, he said. Meanwhile, Transoma rung up losses while attempting to establish a market for its new cardiac monitor, Sleuth AT. “DSI is a great business, I wish I had a portfolio full of them,” Bohlen said.
