Does Anyone Use Organic/Natural Body Care Products?
If so, which name brand? I'm looking into buying organic body care products that are healthier for my skin (no more carcinogens!) However it's hard to truly figure out which ones are the best... i've been to the Skin Deep Report website and even products like Burt's Bees get some low scores. Who knows best? Can you direct me to some healthy products made by companies that do not test on animals? Thanks :)
There's tons of good ones.
Kiss my face, jason, desert essence, weleda.
Hit up the alfalfa's or wild oats websites for a look. Or whole foods.

Organic bath & body care products?
I'm really big on organics, and I'm trying to find a line of products that I really like. I shop at Sephora, but I'm not big on any of their body care products. So I'm looking for a line of pure, natural produtts. I've heard good things about Pangea Organics and The Body Deli. Does anyone know any good lines of organic body care products? I'm especially looking for a scrub (preferably a sugar scrub, I'm afraid salt will be too harsh on my sensitive skin), a body wash, and a moisturizer.
And it's fine if you recommend something only available online, I don't mind online online shopping. Thanks everyone!!
go to origins!

they also have an organic line...but i dont know if there are any body scrubs.....but i have the face wash, shower gel, and body bar...and i love it......

Is there an inexpensive or atleast reasonable place (on the net) to buy organic body care products....?
I don't want to go crazy about it but have recently begun using deoderant without aluminum clorohydrate (known to cause breast cancer in woman)....if anyone knows of this causing cancer in men by the way, please give me a link.....Anyway, I want to go as organic/natural as I can with my body care products (and my kids), but so far have just changed my/our deoderant.....and bath gel..........both toms of maine....anyway....I won't buy the toothpast as it is well over $4 here for a tube, and I am trying to raise a family....I also do try to find things at the local discount outlet...thanks for your help...
Sanctum Organic skin care and Organic Biologika Roll On Deodorant are good. but they cost around $10. If you are looking for cheaper options i don't think you will find any organic deodarants that are cheap. You can try mitcham but i'm not sure if that has aluminium chloride in it. Go to vitalite deodarant costs about 9 dollars and is aluminium free as well as the other two i mentioned before

Why are "Natural or organic" body lotions and skin care so popular? Like Burt's Bees,Avalon.?
Are they really better for the skin? or just another hype?
Organic and natural products are very popular because people like to know that they are putting natural things in or on their skin. Personally I would rather put natural beeswax lotion on than something with polyurethane, or some other thing i can't pronounce. Usually the closer you get to the environment, the more healthy something is for you. For example, organic foods are without pesticides which appeals to people because they don't want to consume pesticide. Same thing with organic skin care products. They are closer to natural.
Sales of natural body-care items see healthy growth Puget Sound Business Journal
When Angelique Saffle wanted a chemical-free lotion 10 years ago, she concocted her own out of fresh organic ingredients.
Saffle, who’d spent more than 20 years in the health food industry, noticed customers were increasingly interested in the benefits of organic foods, and she thought the same might hold true for stuff they put on their bodies.
She started offering her own line of Bodyceuticals Organic Bodycare. As more stores have added her products and internet sales have shot up, her four-employee Kirkland company saw a 45 percent increase in sales from September 2008 to September 2009.
“Our customers,” Saffle said, “understand that the things you put on your body go in your bloodstream.”
Saffle is part of a growing cluster of local eco-entrepreneurs offering nontoxic products for the body — everything from shampoo to toenail polish.
At PCC Natural Markets, sales of several local brands are growing by double digits despite the recession, said Wendy McLain, health and beauty merchandiser. Bodyceuticals sales have jumped 26 percent year to date, Seattle-based Ballard Organics’ soap sales are up 18 percent, and sales of Olympia-based Alaffia Sustainable Skin Care creams and soaps have risen by 15 percent.
These newer, purer products are sometimes growing at the expense of first-generation natural brands, which contain fewer chemicals than conventional products but some synthetic ingredients. Overall, sales of natural personal care products at PCC were flat, McLain said.
