What is a good inexpensive facial peel for exfoiliating?
High $$$ products are not always the best. When it comes to items as this...Most are the same!!! As w/shampoo, makeup, etc. People "think" if they pay more, they're gonna get a better product. I use St. Ives, Apricot Scrub, daily. 12 oz. for $2.99!!! Hence, no real reason for an actual peel. Stay away from ANY product containing loofah!!!

ABSTRACT
Loofah sponges are natural products used as exfoliative beauty aids. As a consequence of tracing a case of Pseudomonas aeruginosa folliculitis to a contaminated loofah sponge, we assessed the role of loofah sponges in supporting the growth of a wide variety of bacterial species. Our data show growth enhancement of sterile loofah fragments for numerous gram-negative (Pseudomonas, Xanthomonas, and Klebsiella) and gram-positive (Enterococcus and group B Streptococcus) species of human and environmental origin. Furthermore, hydrated new, unused loofah sponges undergo a shift in bacterial flora from sparse colonies of Bacillus spp. and Staphylococcus epidermidis to a predominantly gram-negative flora. The growth-promoting potential of loofah sponges (and other exfoliatives) can be further augmented by desquamated epithelial cells entrapped in the loofah fibrous matrix. Therefore, as loofah sponges (and other exfoliatives) can serve as a reservoir and a vehicle for the transmission of potentially pathogenic species to the human skin, we recommend their decontamination with hypochlorite (10%) bleach at regular intervals.

Do facial peels cause wrinkles to form more quickly?
Do facial peels (for example, Untimate Facial by Cosme Search, Inc) actually caise wrinkles to form more quickly? I know that a good facial peel, without burning, leaves the fresh, young layer of skin to come through, put does this encourage the wrinkles to form more?
No, I don't know where you heard that.
Facial Peels reduce fine lines.
If your still worried, you could try a microderm abrasion product. Or go see an facialist. :)

Do over-the-counter facial peels really work?
I'm 28 & have always been prone 2 breakouts...but I'm SO sick of it! I was wondering if maybe the Olay products (facial reconstructors or chemical peels) would work. They seem to be good quality products , but I'm still a little leery of using them. Has anyone tried them before??And do you think I should?
They work.
you have to use a product before it, i forgot whats its called but its sandy, and it opens your pores and makes it easier for the peels to work.

I wouldn't use it, but then again, I've been using my grandmother's home remedies for over 50+ years.
Lemon Juice is good for oily skin and is also a good skin lightener.
The bad thing about products that makes your skin peel is that it is causing a slight scarring to the surface of the skin.
And for some people it causes the pores to enlarge.
Whipped egg whites are pure protein, this is much better for your skin and help keep the pores tight and wrinkles down to a minimum.

Overwrought at what seemed to me to be a typical smattering of pimples, my teenage daughter had been begging for months to see a dermatologist. But I'd insisted on exhausting all other approaches before going to the expense. After all, I reasoned, how hard could it be to clear up a little acne?
So I proceeded to spend a small fortune on over-the-counter products that did little to improve her complexion and even sprang for a facial that left her skin looking even more angry and inflamed.
