can anybody tell me how to make a gud natural facial scrub at home , wid easily available ingredients
Use a runny honey which is good for your skin and add some salt for the exfoliating effect, it works quite well, smells nice and the honey counteracts the drying of the salt so your skin won't dry out.

Any natural facial scrubs out there?
Hi there, I'm just wondering if there are any natural or organic facial scrubs I can buy or make myself. I'm trying to avoid using all those with chemicals in them. thanks in advance!
I was reading CosmoGirl and they have an article about natural beauty products. Some face stuff they recommended was: Freeman Good Stuff Organics Revitalizing Facial Mask with pumpkin, $7, Burt's Bees Peach & Willowbark deep pore scrub, $8, and Fresh Cucumber Cleansing Foam, $48.
Currently, I'm using The Body Shop's Seaweed Pore-Cleansing Facial Exfoliator for combo skin.

It's organic and not tested on animals. It works great.
Hope that helped!!

Is Using Sand As an Exfoliant along with a facial cream a Bad Thing?
I want to MAKE a natural facial scrub. Got any suggestions?
Sand particles are irregularly shaped & too hard to use as a face scrub. Sand is basically tiny bits of rock.
Use sugar instead. You can rub a packet (about 1tblsp.) of sugar gently against your wet face.
Mix to make a paste and apply. Leave on for 15-20 minutes.
Yogurt has lactic acid to loosen dead skin cells.
Honey has anti-bacterial properties.
Oatmeal serves as a physical exfoliant.

What is the best "natural" way to control excess facial oil?
I have been using Dr. Bronner's Hemp and Tea Tree oil soap and have had almost all of my adult acne clear up. I also use a home made facial scrub with epsom salt and kosher salt mixed with a bit of virgin coconut oil, grapeseed oil, pepermint oil and orange oils. My face loves it and has reduced break outs and overall oilyness.
What I want to know is, does anybody know a good natural way to control the excess facial oil that builds up throughout the day? I will not use blotting towels because many have oils that break me out. I am trying tapioca starch in my bare escentuals foundataion today and have had a huge improvement; but, I was just wondering if anybody else had any suggestions aside from re-washing and blotting towels.
Thanks!
I forgot to mention that I do only wash my face only twice a day and use the salt every 2 to 3 days. I do also use an oil free moisturizer from Clean and Clear and use a natural shampoo and conditioner for oily hair.
Not eating oily foods does not help too much
Your regime sounds super. Good for you for using all pure and natural things.
I'd try to use a shampoo for oily hair (as the oil starts at the top)
and add a toner in there (like witch hazel)
I also use a mineral powder foundation and finds it helps control the oily face a lot better. I like Arbonne (it's pure and natural and has an spf)

Which is the best facial scrub for combination skin? I prefer something with natural ingredients.?
I have two favorites: My favorite favorite is the tomato face scrub from Bath and Body Works. It has a full tomato in every bottle, which contains lots of AHA... and crushed walnut shell powder is the exfoliant. It's very natural, and specifically for normal/combination skin. My second favorite is the pomegranate scrub also from BBW. This is my fiance's favorite because it smells really nice and fruity, and not like tomatoes :0) It's also normal/combination, but it's a little less coarse, specifically for those with sensitive skin.
They're 100% guaranteed too, which I love-- I don't want to be stuck with an $18 product I won't love.
Rain or shine, we want our skin to glow. And, it's no different during those cold wintry days, either. In winter, you should follow a moisturising and nourishing routine to protect and revitalise the skin. Here are a few things you could do keep your skin shining endlessly.
Cleansing — Use a rose cleansing cream morning and night. Do not wash your skin even with a mild soap. Milk with a dash of turmeric makes for a good home cleanser.
Toning — Equal quantities of rose water and witch-hazel make for a good toner, as it decongests the skin. Cucumber juice is also an effective toner for dry skin in winter.
Moisturising and conditioning — Layer your moisturisers and conditioners to trap in the moisture and oil. First apply a few drops of face oil made of three drops of sandalwood oil, one tablespoon of almond oil and one teaspoon of castor oil. Apply a moisturiser after five minutes.
Carry out a facial scrub with oatmeal and almonds, twice a week. Dampen your face with water, and gently massage with the scrub cream. Rinse with warm water.
You can also mix a tablespoon of fresh cream, one crushed almond and a pinch of oats for the scrub.
Once a week, use the following soothing facial mask. Mix one tablespoon of milk powder, half a banana, half teaspoon of honey and enough yoghurt to make a paste.
