Skin care during pregnancy....what skin care line do you use?
I would like to find a skin care line that is all natural (or organic) but not too expensive. Since I am pregnant, I don't want to use anything with crazy ingredients, but would like something that will help with fine lines, age spots....etc.... I was hoping to find something without too many steps....I will have a newborn shortly!! Just wondering what lines of products you have tried and have had good results with.
Thanks!
Well, they're not organic or all natural, but I prefer mary kay concealer for any blemishes or redness--just a little bit will cover it up and if you're in a hurry it's not a big deal, it looks natural and isn't oily. For everything else, I use clinique because it's mild and my skin agrees with it, lol! For removing makeup, almay is the BEST for eye/lipstick makeup, and regular old noxzema pads for any powder, etc. I love clinique's pink lightweight moisturizer....love it. hope that helps!

Are most skin care products safe during pregnancy?
Hi, I am currently 10 weeks in pregnancy. I did not change the skin care products that I usually used as before. Recently, I start to concern whether these skin care products are healthy for my baby. But my friend told me since we only use small amount moisturize cream on my face, it should be safe? Can anyone tell me whether this is true. Thanks!

Is it okay to use Proactiv (skin care)during my pregnancy?
It is probably better to use Proactiv than other acne/skin care products, because it has more natural ingredients. I'm sure it won't harm your baby as much as prescription acne/skin care would.

Skin care suggestions for during pregnancy.?
I know splotchy skin and dark spots are normal during pregnancy. Mine's getting bad, to where my normal make up won't cover it. Any suggestions? I would like to take some portraits soon and I would hate to look like I have more facial hair than my bf. lol!!! Any home remedies or over the counter stuff you can suggest?
I would wait until after you deliver- then pick up a fading cream- or get micro-derm for the dark spots. Or there is one brand that is avail. at Whole Foods- Dr. Haruska- that is all natural, organic- that might help- now !

Calling all mothers: what products (bath & body specifically) did you find beneficial during pregnancy?
Are there any specific bath or body products that you, or someone you know who was pregnant that helped during pregnancy- skin care, hair care, teas, ointments, etc.
When I was pregnant I used Shea Butter's lotion the one that supposedly prevents stretch marks, I always used it right after I got out of the shower. From what I heard if stretch marks are going to happen there will be nothing you can do to prevent them. All I know is I did not get any, the point is to drink plenty of fluid and use lotion (keeps the skin elastic and hydrated). Good luck and congrats
Common plastic chemical 'contributes to ADHD in kids' Gaea Times
Korean scientists have found a positive association between plastic chemical phthalates and behavioural and cognitive problems in children.
They found higher the concentration of phthalate metabolites in the urine, worse were the ADHD symptoms and/or test scores.
“These data represent the first documented association between phthalate exposure and ADHD symptoms in school-aged children,” said Senior author Yun-Chul Hong, MD, PhD.
“This emerging link between phthalates and symptoms of ADHD raises the concern that accidental environmental exposure to phthalates may be contributing to behavioural and cognitive problems in children. This concern calls for more definitive research,” John Krystal, MD, the Editor of Biological Psychiatry, added.
Some studies on phthalates have linked exposure to these chemicals to hormone disruptions, birth defects, asthma, and reproductive problems, while others have found no significant association between exposure and adverse effects. (ANI)
